Equilibrium

1.
I don't care about that gang of superficial idiots from the offices who swallowed your bait. Disco’s no longer in fashion so the sound of the guitar is back. That was always here, you prick. It's just your dumb ass that didn't notice. It will never bother me, unless you touch the gold we've been forging for years and start arrogantly lecturing your stupid bullshit about the latest trends. I have enough of those greedy fingers and the visions of the sounds that are "cool". You started the war Charon! You’d better find someone who'll take you across the river of the dead.

It was the last chance, not to become part of the process. Every day to smell the street. Signifighly heavy in summer, refreshing, hope giving in fall. Like razors, sharp in the winter. Small like newborns in spring. Veins inspiring respect from the boss. Legs and arms working together. For delivery of the lethal contract. Sweat chills salt on your lips. A closed world full of living iron, where property have no value. Only speed, adrenalin and messages, which definitely won't save the world. Tiredness, stress and aching joints, become the price of the fact, that you're the last symbol of freedom in the streets of big cities.

We both know what it's like to scrape your chin along the ground, the hand that dragged you from the mud knew the grip of mine. With no prospect of a comfortable future you were drowning in the shit life threw at you. A year on and you’re charging proudly forward, helter-skelter with no thought to those who showed compassion. You would never believe before how easy it is to forget. In the influx of work you build and strengthen your ego and burn bridges. Those who stood by you have turned to weaklings. Formica posers and fashionistas fill up your time; they feel good having your face around. A vision of your own comfort takes you forward. Not even looking for the great moments we spent together, can crush the incredible hate I feel now.
4.
A frozen line of cars after the electric charge, which wasn´t the impulse of a higher power, but a hand of fate. More than the feeling of desperation the people fed on TV news about the floods experienced, they remained still, fascinated by the perfect symmetry of the apocalypse, which was at that moment just as beautiful as the mountains, where more sensitive souls were bawling out their insides. With a a vision of withered nerves and falling meat, they stood pinned to the motorway, following the glowing blaze, which hand in hand with the pressure wave, turned to dust those who were trying to escape, in the vain hope their legs and fear would be quicker that death. The beauty of that moment is both many formed and universal. At moments like these you forget your flag. You only see the prosperity of those who abused others´confidence. At moments like these, you find equality between Ethiopia and Sweden.
5.
And she died in their hands with the words: You just didn´t get it. It was never about what she did, what she dreamed and what she achieved. What was important was always the view of the others who never left one place and even when they had nothing to eat, they still preferred to look at anotherˊs plate. Time for revenge arrived. Was there really any point in explaining her task in this world? What´s the point in convincing a majority that´s hungry for an execution? To die with your own truth and memories is far easier than to defend a crime trough the eyes of others. The burden of death stays on the shoulders of those who didn´t understand.
6.
Your chest changes into a heavy cloud when close ones leave. I won’t get my quarter of a century back. The hate and pleasure I hand out vanish from the stand. In the second when I have to decide about her life. In the moment when I face her innocence with respect, I hold back the tears and don’t give in to my weak moment of selfishness. I don’t want to see you go. I am not the one to decide.
What weak achievement I serve out in my life, painfully bound only to you. Closing the lid was my answer to those who spent their lives tearing up their bodies for others. How unappreciated was your heavy hand. At the time I didn't get how valuable your uncompromising word was. The moment of understanding comes only when I want to crush the talk around me. Early aging is hiding inside me. When the road to freedom ends in fog, I'll face my fear and listen to the dark song. The shallow waves will no longer wreck my path. I’ll dispute everything I fought for. That time has not come yet.
